Goonies never say die! And sea lions never shut up!

For the past two days we have been exploring the oregon coast and all of its beauty. We started by driving north to Seaside and ended up getting a cute little room at the city center inn. It was one block to the beach and recently redone. Samus immediately made herself at home by hiding all five of her little mice under the bed and parking herself on the table by the window. We took the advice of the woman at the front desk and went to Norma's seafood and steaks and had one of the best meals of our lives! It was smoked chinook salmon with Alfredo sauce and pasta.
We also split a bowl of New England clam chowder and although it is a New England dish the best we ever had is now on the Pacific Northwest. The next day we walked down the the water and stuck our toes in, screamed about how cold it was and ran out.
We then grabbed so weird flavored sodas at a huge candy store and packed up the cat ( who is now riding on out laps in her cage due to her very loud protest in the back) and drove up to Astoria.
Now you may be asking "what's in Astoria ?" Well only the greatest house ever!!!! The Goonies House! If you haven't seen the Goonies go watch it right now. Which btw is owned by a really nice family who lets weirdos walk up on their lawn and take pictures and yell HEY YOU GUYSSsSsS!!!
While we were there I heard and saw my first sea lion!  After my mini freak out over the barking of the sea lions we drove up to the Astoria collum and climbed to the top to see the beautiful mist coming over the top of the trees onto the Columbia river. We threw some gliders off the top, met a dog named chewbaca, bought some pop tarts, and hit the road for California. Seven hours later we arrived to our motel in crescent city ca.

That's it for now everyone! We're off to see some Redwoods!!!

Ps- Ben we did try to go to the oregon vortex but learned they were closed for the season. But we did learn that there Are no bugs or birds for a complete mile around the vortex! Weird huh?!?
